Margaret de Saint John was the daughter of John de Saint John, Knt., 1st Lord Saint John of Basing, and his first wife, Isabel de Courtenay.[1][2] Her date of birth is unknown and is estimated based on her brother's 1310 birthdate.
She married John de Beauchamp, 2nd Lord Beauchamp of Somerset.[1][2][3][4] Their marriage date is unknown and is estimated. They had two sons and two daughters:
John, Knt., 3rd Lord Beauchamp of Somerset,[1] born 20 January 1329/30, died 8 October 1361 without issue, married Alice Beauchamp[3]
Margaret was widowed 19 May 1343 and had dower on 24 September 1343.[3] She died 19 November 1361[1][3] (date of death varies by IPM, see below).
Inquisitions Post Mortem
The 1361/2 plague seems to have hit the family. Margaret, her son John, and son-in-law, Roger Seymour, all died in the fall of 1361. Both Margaret and John have their inquisitions listed on the same page.[5]
IPM of Margaret late the wife of John Bello Campo, of Somerset

"All the above she held for life in dower by assignment of John de Bello Campo, her late husband, of the inheritance of his heirs, to wit, Cecily, his daughter, and John, son of Eleanor his other daughter."
"She died on 21 November last. The above named Cecily, aged 30 years and more, and John, aged 15 years and more, are her heirs."
"She died on 19 November last. The aforesaid Cecily her daughter, aged 40 years and more, and John Merizet son of Eleanor her daughter, aged 15 years and more, are the heirs of the said John de Bello Campo and Margaret."
